Deleted string

I decided to delete that other string.
It was just getting - or had gotten very - ridiculous.
I should have put a stop to it earlier.
I dont have to allow anonymous character assassinations and i wont.
especially when they do not relate to the discussion at all.

ive not had time to post much last couple of days.
we are missing two out of five people in the newsroom.
so its kinda crazy right now.

here is my original post that got hijacked.

Another election. The sun came up again this morning. Life goes on.
I do want to say something about Scott Margolius. I thought he displayed a lot of class last night at the meeting, and was very gracious in his loss.
He was checking the results on his cell phone as the meeting was ending, and knew the results before any of the other commissioners knew. He could have just kept quiet and faded into the shadows. But instead, he congratulated the winners.
He gave them credit for winning.
After the meeting he acknowledged that the election was a sort of a referendum on the big box. He did not say he was wrong, but did say that he recognized the statement that was made by the voters.
It is important to win well. It is also important to lose well.
I think he deserves some credit for that.

Thankyou JJ.

I may have not agreed with Scotts decisions on various topics, but he showed class and is a true gentleman.

Whatever JJ- Dude your so full of it! You allowed it to happen when you went under it and posted, knowing it was there! You kept it. Now all of a sudden you do a 360 and want to delete those types of post. How many days we're the post there? Don't come in here and try to be some hero now, It only makes you look lame!

You should walk a very thin line when you allow people to come on here and bash people by name. You need to remember that you do work for the Traveler and this blog is associated with them, Considering it IS listed under the " Traveler blogs" links. Because if I ever was in his shoes and my name had come up in on here and was getting accused of criminal things and I wasn't in the public eye, You better believe I would have a lawyer speaking to Seaton!

Poster makes a very good point, JJ aka Traveler is so typicial. As previously stated, an obvious lack of journalisim training over there.
Do you suppose there might have been some discussion of loss of add revenue?

I love it how you allow people to get slaughtered on here time after time but yet take no personal responsibility or accountability for allowing it to happen! And when we "criticize" you the claws come out, Albeit they're tiny kitten claws that do no damage. Sounds to me like you can dish it, but not take it. You parade yourself as a Christian, But yet you'll allow the most nasty foul stuff on this blog without a second glance. I think the difference here is, Your the blog owner who made a bad judgement in allowing slander to run ramped on YOUR blog. Me wagging the finger was to let you know that I'm one person who didn't agree with it or the fact that it was left on for as long as it was.

Scott is a nice guy with good intentions. Unfortunately for him, his politics were not right for AC at this time. If we get the town growing back up and things change, maybe he might be right at a later time.

He is not the real problem, Mel and Dotty are. As we have seen lately on here, bullying often works.

There are some reasonable people out there
hopefully they will post something
i may stop allowing anonymous posts...
its not like its a constitutional right or anything :)

Let's not forget that none of this blog matters. Anonymous or otherwise, it is all insignificant, all fleeting, all soon to be forgotten. Let's take a moment to reflect on one of the only things that really matter.

Wooden. Rugged. Painful. Splinters. Rough. Jagged. Sharp. Heavy. Gnarled. Uneven. Weather-beaten. Sweaty. Bloody.
. . . the Cross

. . . the Way of the Cross

Blood flowing. Hands & Feet pierced. Sweat dripping. Eyes stinging. Head pounding. Face swollen. Muscles aching. Tears falling. Heart breaking.

Lessons learned:

If you are powerful, it helps make things go away.

Bullys usually win unfortunately.

People can do both very good things and very bad things.

Those who live an unrighteous lifestyle stick together.

Thugs protect thugs.

Family protects family.

Often if you try to fight the system, it won't work.

People can change, to an extent, but they are always who they always were.

Thanks, jj. Just a tip here, & my opinion only. Take a harder line on the dufuses who post. Free speech. Yeah! But, if they want to be crude, cross, & mentally unfit, let them do it on their own blog. IMO.
Now, back to the subject at hand: Scott M. is a real gentleman. And I thank him for donating his time to help the good people of A.C. I wish him the best in the future. You may not agree with him, but you can't mistake where he stands, and he sticks by his guns. Scott M. is nobody's yes man. I respect that.

WTH? Has Ark City even started picking the limbs up yet? Are they just gonna wait till they decompose? Maybe it's all a part of a new lawn fertilizing plan.

ALL I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LIFE
I LEARNED FROM THE EASTER BUNNY

Don't put all of your eggs in one basket
Walk softly and carry a big carrot
Everyone needs a friend who is all ears
There's no such thing as too much candy
All work and no play can make you a basket case
A cute little tail attracts a lot of attention
Everyone is entitled to a bad hare day
Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits
Some body parts should be floppy
Keep your paws off other people's jellybeans
Good things come in small sugarcoated packages
The grass is always greener in someone else's basket
An Easter bonnet can tame even the wildest hare
To show your true colors you have to come out of your shell
The best things in life are still sweet and gooey

Letter to the Editor

Dustin P. Schuetz

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You have spoken.

The banks have hand-picked who they want to run this town and you, as voting citizens, have voted them in.

I hope that they can continue to save the city money by cutting frivolous spending and being strict with budgets.

The board will no longer be run by people like you: blue-collar individuals.

I do urge you, though, as concerned citizens, to still scrutinize and nitpick every move the new mayor(s) and commissioners will make like you have with the last ones.

When the new Lowe's store comes to town, ask A.C. Industries to show you their books to see how much profit they made by this move.

Also, go to Woods Lumber, Midwest Electric and any other business that will be affected by the "big box" store that so many of you drool over and see how they are doing.

The people that work at these places are your neighbors, friends and relatives and they work hard to provide a service to this community.

Finally, I don't understand how people can vote in a commissioner that does not even own any property.

We have someone in office that can vote to raise your property tax that does not pay property tax! I have spoken.

He is Mel Kuhn's son. The apple does not fall far from the tree.

Where were you last Tuesday? Obviously you are wrong.

But I bet you own property so its ok.

Anonymous said...

OK, here we go.

I really doubt if Roger Brown, Mr. Docking, and Mr. Schwyhart or Duncan or whoever else really all got together and then approached the candidates. Do you have proof of this Dustin? Why do you assume this?

I remind you too that Mr. Matthews, who your father supported, worked much of his life for a bank.

Frivolous with the budget: is this why it has taken longer than 2 weeks to pick up the limbs that are all over town? Is this why the city saw fit to let go one of its only minority employees who used to run the senior citizens center? Is this why Mr. Russell left us so soon?

I am not a blue-collar individual. Most of my friends are not. What do you consider a blue-collar individual. Should they be insulted by this?

I assume the new mayor will not take us in to embarrasment with the rest of the country through acts like Smellishish Poon, and embarrasing acts such as the crash tax and the water bill fiasco, an ATTACK ON THE POOR BY the commssion led by YOUR FATHER MEL KUHN. This is in addition to acting incredibly rude to the developer who was going to help bring development to this town.

The last I knew, which was a couple years ago, AC industries included Mr. Greg Kelley and Mr. Roger Sparks as well, both strong supporters of Mr. Margolius. Mr. Schuetz is this not the case?

Mr. Kuhn supported Walgreens, and yet Graves, Dillons and Walmart pharmacy are still in operation, as well as the new K and D pharmacy. I imagine Woods and Midwest are equally as capable.

So blue collar workers who only rent property should not be able to run for office? What about retired people who may have moved to a appartment for health care purposes? Should the appartment complexes of this town not be supported? This seems to be another attack on the middle and lower class of this town.

Your case has many holes in it. Also, please do not include my daughter in any more of your illegal activities.

Direspectful, hateful, stone casting fools. And you wonder why good people don't try to volunteer or do good. Real Christian- do you even know what that means or is it just garbage that you spout- because you do that well. Scott was not in cahoots with Dotty and Mel and the idiots that keep saying that are just that- idiots. You people don't deserve people like Scott on the commission, instead of having the intelligence or patience to get rid of the real problem (ones with documented issues)- Dotty and Mel- you people skewered Scott for their actions. You should have paid more attention. He rarely agreed with Mel and questioned everything and worked to improve the city. What a bunch of jackasses you people are. Does even one of you know why they are saying 3 amigo's or is that something that you sheep followed the crowd with? You can bet they don't hang out in their social lives.

Anonymous said...

by "questioning everything" you mean he was trying to find out why they were happening? From what I saw he spent so much time debating with the lawyer he didn't understand enough to ask questions. He kept asking her why she did something, and she kept saying something to the effect that he had told her to. He also seemed to spend a lot of time trying to work things out with Khun so that it looked like they spend a half hour to an hour before deciding they didn't know what they were talking about and put it off until the next meeting. Anyone who didn't watch these shows on TV really missed out. And if you did watch them, can you tell me what he was questioning? He seemed to bounce all over including both sides and other issues at the same time. Are those shows still availabe to watch? They should rent the DVDs

Margolius voted with Kuhn and Smith in shutting down the Lowe's deal. That was enough. Mell and Dotty are next to go.

When you ignore the people, we will ignore you right back.
