Because of that the paper will be late, probably an hour or two late.
Just wanted to let everyone know.
A blog by Managing Editor James Jordan about the newspaper. So far it's mostly about city commission, but I hope to delve into other local issues.

Thanks for the warning!
must lose your power every day!
No, we just withhold yours. No one else's is ever late.
Its just yours that we deliver late just to tick you off.
Jeez. It was Friday the 13th.
Was it a guy with an axe and hockey mask attacking the power lines?
My kids had a paper route for a combined total of at least5 years. We started driving them around as sort of a family thing and the paper was 99% of the time on time. Their would of been no way that every paper could of been delivered on time if they had to walk the route. I don't think people realize that several papers are printed at the Traveler office and I am sure that the newspaper still has trouble finding enough help to deliver the papers for a job that can be a total headache, with very low pay, sometimes! (No insult intended towards The Traveler James) I am grateful that the paper kid is consistent with the delivery of our paper even if it is late sometimes.
Just a suggestion that maybe the delivery times printed in the newspaper should be changed to a later time, maybe that could take care of some the irate customers The Traveler has!

No youre right. Delivering papers is becoming something that costs more than it is worth. Its a problem across the nation with newspapers, especially motor carriers.
Ive had the idea of putting the paper on PDF files and letting people download them and read them that way, but no one seems to think its a good idea but me :)

That is a current debate.
Ive had trouble convincing the powers that be that printing the paper on time requires that you do what you need to do the day before.
For instance, getting the paper delivered on Tuesday on time starts Monday morning really, and you have to have that cycle going on all the time.
