building

Here is a poem submitted by a reader

I watched them tear a building down

I watched them tear a building down;
A gang of men in a busy town.
With a mighty heave and lusty yell,
They swung a beam and a side wall fell.

I said to the foremen, "Are these men as skilled
As the men you'd hire if you had to build?"
He gave a laugh and said, "No indeed!
Just a common laborer is all I need.
And I can wreck in a day of two
What it took the builder a year to do."

And I thought to myself as I went my way,
"Just which of these roles have I tried to play?
Am I a builder who works with skill and care
Building others up by the rule and square,
Or am I a wrecker as I walk the town

Why do you build me up, buttercup baby, just to tear me down?
I'm hanging around.

And worst of all, you never call, baby, when you say you will. But I love you still, I need you ......

When things deteriorate to the point they are useless, they are torn down and replaced with something better.

It's a lot of work, but it's called progress. It makes things better.

Dang I thought it was all about the governing commissionerd not about a building

If the purpose of tearing down is to rebuild something better that is fine.
Often that is not what I see happening;

Is this why our economy is spinning in the toilet?

If no ass exists to kiss, did ass kissing actually take place? Hmmm?

I was being nice. Maybe you have heard of it? No? =)

I wish more people in our community enjoyed art. IT just might help get our economy out the toilet

I think the building represents the cowboy and the "foremen" (more than one?) represent the bad guys who symbolize bloggers attacking the cowboy...errr...building. Geez, I wonder who penned this masterpiece.
